Divah and The Mama's Boys
Rock that touches you!

Divah knows how to win over her audience, sometimes moving, sometimes angry, but always with inspiration. She takes you over the peaks and through the valleys of life, singing about love and lust, life and death. She is backed by The Mama's boys, four experienced musicians who are not tied to one style. Rock, blues, funk and sympho form the basis of the band's own work. This DIVAH can sing the blues, and her boys can play Rock 'n Roll.
The band's style is somewhere between Skunk Anansie, Queen, Beth Hart, Journey and Mother's Finest. Enjoyment of playing, musicianship and quirky songs are what Divah & the Mama's Boys are all about.
Bassist Jos van Es, guitarist Jan Brosens and keyboardist Pascal Schardijn had played together for years in a blues-rock cover band. They decide to start writing their own songs in mid-2012, and Thea joins the group. Last to join is drummer Eric van Roest. Divah & the Mama's Boys is complete.

"Misty" is basically formed by Pascal Schardijn on piano and vocalist Liset van Lanen. They have been friends for many years and have collaborated extensively in various bands and music projects. The creative and musical click has always been there and it shows in the songs they perform; refreshing adaptations of "The real book" standards to contemporary pop in a jazzy twist.

Pascal is a pianist/keyboardist but also plays guitar and sings. He regularly accompanies vocalists, produces and is also active as a musician in various formations. (See website for more info)

Over the years, Liset has gained a lot of experience as a lead singer but also as a backing vocalist in various theater projects and tribute shows. Both musicians were previously featured at Jazz in Duketown in the funk and soul formation Funkgenerator and are now back in a cozy contemporary lineup.

In addition to the base, Misty is expandable into a Jazz trio and Jazz quartet.
